In line with the CTT theme of ‘why Cape Town warms up this winter’. Bartholomeus Klip Farmhouse will be offering cooking classes for their guests this winter.

A member of The Good Cooks, the Bartholomeus Klip cooking courses offer the opportunity to learn some new South African recipes. Head Chef Louise and her team will be running the cooking classes in the farmhouse kitchen.

We’ve been reading Bartholomeus Klip’s ranger diaries with fascination recently as they uploaded stories and photos on their rescue mission to save the geometric tortoises.

Bartholomeus Klip, the well-known country lodge in the Riebeek Valley an hour away from Cape Town, is the ideal venue for small-scale, tailor-made events such as weddings and conferences. These are held at our newly appointed, fully equipped Deckhouse, set on the edge of a vast stretch of water overlooked by magnificent mountains, with the nearby manor house and its five luxurious bedrooms available for overnight stays.

Bartholomeus Klip is a member of THE GOOD COOKS THEIR COUNTRY HOUSES AND GAME LODGES. They have started offering cooking classes in their newly refurbished farm kitchen with Louise and her team. Courses with some local food legends like Judy Badenhorst and Michael Lauts are on offer, as well as short courses which are tailor-made according to the individual’s and group requirements.

Join the Bartholomeus Klip team at the Deckhouse for an exhibition of botanical art, celebrating some of the beautiful flowers and plants found in their Reserve.

Chef Louise and her team have prepared a delicious alfresco-style menu, which will be complemented by a selection of the Badenhorst Family wines made by the dynamic Adi Badenhorst, of the Swartland Revolution.

Join them any time between 10:00 and 16:00 on Saturday 1 or Sunday 2 October in this spectacular setting at the water’s edge, to enjoy great food and world-renowned wines and the chance to see some very special artworks.
